Red patchwork blanket "top" almost done
So, after working on it every free minute/second over the last days (and nights *yaaaawn*) it´s almost completely done. In the meanwhile I got a bit educated on patchwork only to find out that what I made is called "the top". Quite interesting as I was pondering what this "top"-section would be called since "patchwork" somehow sounds inadequate. It´s actually called "top", lol, how trivial:-D!

At the moment I have no more than eight little triangles to sew in place on the opposite side of border (which will be nothing more than a matter of maybe half an hour). I still hand-stitch the pieces together but plan to sew another round on with the machine, just in case and for extra stability. The other two layers should arrive via dhl during the next two days because I can´t find someone to bribe to bring me all the material from the next bigger town. Kinda expensive but it´s for the little owlet so never mind. If anybody knows a good tutorial on sewing together patchwork blankets, I´d be very grateful because I would hate to both it on the lst final meters and haven´t found a good tut so far.
