Nonetheless, the cap is finished. It went surprisingly quick, being knit in one session. I knew I´d need one solid session for the intarsia because I tend to get confused and knit a hoard of disabled space invaders.
It looks huge and is even huger in life, sporting a cast-on of 129 sts with double-knit yarn. The border looks and feels soft and flappy which means I´ll probably have to slip in a thin, thin elastic to keep it in shape and fit. Which is to be determined on the head of the cap´s new owner and only there because it´s so damn hard to estimate and guess.
All in all, it´s a much easier, less confusing knit if done without pregnancy hormones raging through you.
